If you want a new project, consider this (keep in mind i dont know your money situation). Pull the motor, have the teksid big bored (wet sleeve) and stroked, which is goodfor about 324cu in displacement. Then work on p&p heads (prefereably sell your b heads and get tumble ports)and cams and an intake manifold(aviator or fr500if youve got the cash)and youll be close to if not over 400 rwhp all motor. This would cost you more than the money you'd lose in your trade for a newer GT, but your car would be a beast--and rare. I know someone will jump in with the "for that money you could supercharged it" comment. And well, you could. Consider that too, a KB would be awesome. But an all motor 400rwhp bigbore stroker cobra with lopey cams would be nasty. Either way, moving to a 2v would be a downgrade. What about a 3v at least?

Im actually debating between a new edge gt vs 96-98 cobra. I test drove a 04 gt and it chirps 2nd every time. Is that possible to do with a cobra with the t45. may sound like a dumb question but i love breaking it loose going into 2nd

Yeah a cobra will do that. If yourechoosing between the twobased on being able to chirp second, your an idiot (no offense). I could chirp second with my integra back when I had it, and it was still slow as ****. The Cobra and GT are two different animals, and bolt on for bolt on the Cobra kills it every time. I dont know what you know about mustangs, but if you're a newb, read up on the Cobras 4v motor and its potential vs a 2v.

from what i have read a t-56 is more forgiving than the t-45 for doing that sort of stuff.
