Independent Rear Suspension...N00b

As for the OP...
- Im sittin on 295/45 18's BFgoodrich KDW
- Last dyno pulled 426 rwhp
- With the paper weight T-45, stock bottom end and 28 spline axles...i limit myself to 3000 rpm at most
- The axles will start snapping at 5 hp. It has more to do with the wheel hop than hp rating. Most consider "500 hp" to be the breaking point, but i know 3 stangs off the top of my head runnin 550-600 rwhp on stock axles. Get off the throttle when ure hoppin is what i hear most...or some level 5 axles
- I don't drag race my stang, and all we have around my area is an 1/8 mile track, which my friend pulled an 8.1 @89 in it last year...havn't been down there since i got the exhaust set up on the car.

Ok guys, bear with me. My computers being gay, and I can't type number for some reason.

Mine numbers are fourhundred seventy-five hp at the wheels and five hundred fifty ft-lbs at the rear wheels on a stock twenty-eight spline IRS.

I launch at five thousand - six thousand RPM on ET Streets. If it don't hop, you'll be fine.

ss stang is a kid i know

as far as that wheel hop[:@]OUCH im a newbie at the track and on street tires have been getting mad wheel hop and just keep flooring it. i guess i should stop that.lmao

but i heard upgrdaing to d/r's atleast will take most of the hop out

i do have strut bar, eibach lowering springs, strut stiffners, and subframe connectors for suspension right now.

lets say i upgrade to a solid do they re-work my exhuast? to over axle.

sounds to me like you need to do some pill poppin' [8D]

^in case the censorship blocks the site, just remove the spaces...that should be a good build point unless your set on a solid-axle swap, which can be more beneficial if your looking for drag performance in the long run. Oh and if you decide to do the swap, i'llbe happy to takeur IRS set up off ure hands!
