Just want to hear opininions on how my colleages car would do against an '03 Terminator. He's got an '02 Z28 M-6 with the following: H/C swap,longtubes withO/R Y-pipe, SLPlid, short shifter,and 3.73's. The Terminator has full Basani exhaust and is virtually stock otherwise. I haven't been in a Terminator so Idon't know what to expectandthis is a pretty badass LS1. Opinions??? Oh, and BTW both guys are aces at grabbing gears, damn near equal in this regard...

i would say probably the ls1. i looked at ls1 forums a while back and i saw guys with full boltons, high flowing heads and a big cam at just a little bit over the 500rwhp mark. if the the guy with the ls1 really knows what he is doing, i think there is a good chance he could take the termi.let us know how it all works out, because i am interested.

He hasn't had it dynoed but I can tell you this. I thought it was very quick with just the gears and longtubes but it's a totally different animal with the new cam and heads. If Terminators make 390hp (I think that's right isn't it?) it's my guess that the nod should go to the Z28. And yes bro, both guys are very solid in the seat. I think they should go from a dig, a 20mph roll, and a 50MPH roll, to really demonstrate the truest sense of both cars strengths and weaknesses. I'm interested also from a price standpoint. A Terminator like the one I'm talking about (Mint with only 40,000 kms) goes for about 38K here in Canada. The Z was about 11K less before the mods. Bang for the buck enters my mind here...We'll see how it goes down.

 

I would give the advantage to the LS1, but i dont know what head/cam setup he is running and if he has had a tune or not. A tune makes a huge difference on those cars. I have seen cam only LS1s on a good tune outrun H/C/I full bolt on LS1s. Race and find out...

 

if the heads and cams are swapped on the ls1 then definately advantage camaro

 

I'm thinking that too. These Terminators have got to be really badass to take this Z28 down. I'm guessing it's (The Z28) gotta be in the 420+HP range, probably more. I know it's a bowtie but I love this thing, although Terminators look meaner...
