i got my windows tinted today i got 35% all around (dad wouldnt let me get darker, 50% is legal here) and i wanted to get my sun strip done but they said it would turn white because above my rear view i have some black dots? i think ive seen 2000 mustangs with that tinted b4... anyone know how to take it off? and its a convertible i dont know if that makes a difference in the windshield on the car

 

its called frill lines or dot matrix. the only way to get that stuff off is to sand it off and that scraches the glass. just when they tint it have them heat the tint really really well. it will do the same on your back window as well.

 

First of all, 50% is lighter than 35%.

I got mine done recently and just had them put the windshield strip overthe dots. I think it looks a little weird, but fine. It doesn;t look "white" in the middle, just like there's no tint there. The end result is it looks like it has eyebrows.
