Last I checked to use the juice safely on stock internals you do need a tune. I know you can't get a blower for that much, it was a bit of an exaggerationbut you add up about $800 for the kit and $600-900 for install and tune. Might as well save a littlelonger and get a blower.

In all honesty though, if you can wire a car radio and speakers you really shouldn't have much of an issue putting on a nitrous kit as long as you can follow directions.

 

I dont have a tune and my sh*t hasnt went kaboom yet!*knocks on wood* But that is the next thing that i am gonna buy.

 

IMO without a tune you are on borrowed time...

 

It would be a shame to have an excuse to buy a built shortblock!!! I also read the literature that came with my nitrous kit and it said that pulling timing was not necessary. Its a wet kit, its not as bad as an untuned dry. I know several people that have been running a 100 shot untuned for years. But your right eventually it will catch up with me, maybe!

IMO a tune is cheap insurance
