If you have a cool shop then you'll be fine but if they aren't willing to go the little extra then no you will fail imediately on visual inspection so they wont have to get under the car and place the sniffer in. If you do that and they are not cool they'll let the computer send the failure to sacramento where your automaticly place on a fail list. Do that a few times and you'll be a habitual poluter and they have you smog your car every year.

My advice, is to take your car to a few shops around town. If your in SoCal, take it into the valley and just pull up and ask them first if it's they are cool with it. If your at where I'm from go to Northridge and have it checked at the smog place next to Autozone. their pretty cool. (no payoffs though)

honestly if you live in CA, its not worth getting a new header sinec you cant go LT's, and umm i dont see the difference or how it would affect the smog if you had dumps or regular so you should be fine im like 99.9% sure.

hehe yeah sxynerd im still untuned atm [&:] swear im going to get it really soon (hard to cough up $500 when you just spend $400 on a new mid pipe), hopefully if i get enough money tomorrow i'll get it done... i also got a new mid pipe and now its just awesomely loud [8D] Magnaflow Catted Tru-X X-Pipe.

OR if you do the H-pipe just leave the stock one on for the smog then swap it out right after. I know tons of people that do that!

exactly the same! ahahaha!

so yeah you have nothing to worry about for passing smog as long as you have stock headers, catted mid pipe, and your catback doesnt matter if its dumps or not.

I'm in NY and it's the same! Although here you don't have to have mufflers to pass emissions. As long as theren are no leaks before the cats, there are no laws about mufflers. They are left up to the officers to ticket you if your car is unusually loud and trust me they will! I just put LT's on with my dohc swao and wow....Holy Loudness! I'm gonna get pulled over soon enough..lol

Ohh I forgot to mention....It's ridiculous certain states try to make up for other states who don't even have annual inspections like Florida!!!!
