Default mach stereo

I got an 02 with the mach stereo.The front speakers next to the windows sound like a$$.I can turn down the base,but it sounds good in the back.Has anyone replaced these?Any suggestions on what speakers i could put there?Thanks

From what I hear due to the factory speakers having a different Ohm load then normal aftermarket speakers you can't just swap them. If you want to start swapping out componants you will need to swap them all out.

the stock speakers on the Mach system is 2ohm. if you replace them with aftermarket speaker's they'll cut out once you turn the volume up. it's an easy replacement,find a mustang with a mach system,convertible,hardtop,v6,gt,doesnt' matter. take the door panel off,and if i remember correctly it's 4 phillips screws holding it in. hope that helps.

Just rip out hte MACH... It's crap. I work at BestBuy as a Installer and they pretty much suck as far as sound systems go. I tell everyone with it they should rip it all out and start over. Get a nice 4 chanel Rockfort (or better) and maybe a mono/2channel for a small sub and be done with it.
