Default Mirror

i got a 2003 GT and my mirror is scratched up on the passanger side, i still have the premium warranty on the car till 75k, should i break the socket in side the mirror so they can replace it, or is there anything else i can do to get the dealer to replace the whole mirror? or anythin else to break inside it?(on the premium warranty the mirror damaged is not covered but the assembly if it doesnt move up and down etc is covered)

I think it'd be easier to just order the mirror (glass) itself, and install it yourself... I had to do that a few times on my truck because it barely squeezes into the garage, so contact has been made with the mirrors.

No you shouldn't break it to try and get it fixed under warranty. It'll be cheaper for you to buy the glass itself rather than buy the assembly when they deny your warranty claim.
