Im only 17 and im making the car payments myself i work about 40 hours a week and keep straight a's in school, so my parents are NOT buying it. But what car would yall choose?

a mach would be cheaper, but you could also find a higher mile cobra for close to the same price as a lower mile mach ! just keep looking and remember the payment wont go away till its paid for.. dont put your self in a pinch just for a fast car.

you could find a really low mile mach1 for that or look in the mustang trader and you might find a bolt on cobra for the same price

Mach or Cobra....Cobra def.

Now for reality. I am not trying to sound like an *** but, hear me out. I dont know if you full understand what you are getting into. You will have payments for both. I dont know if you will find a Termie for 23k but, you might. You are 17 and stuff will come up in the next three years for you that you will want money. You dont want to pinch. Ifyou go with them, insurance will go up, parts will go up, gas will go up, etc. I am NOT downing you but, straight A's doesnt mean anything for any of this. If you are truly doing this on your own, your credit will be much more important. At 17, I doubt you have any(I didnt at 17 either so dont take offense). Do you have plans for college??? That costs money. Do you need a DD or winter car??? Money there too. You will want to go on trips to the beach, Las Vegas, whatever w/ your friends....money there too. If you finance this for 5 years, that takes you to 22. At 21, your priorities will change A LOT!!!! aka the bar and partying hahahahaa. Are you planning on getting an apt. or house or living at home???? That cost money too.

WHen given the choice, I would chose the Cobra hands down for the fun factor. In reality, I would say, upgrade to a good GT or maybe an older Cobra and have fun w/ that. I have my nonPI GT that I drove through college, had fun, etc.....I just think the Mach or Cobra may cost more than it looks initially. Good luck either way and if you have the money, I say Cobra. Just make sure you know what you are getting into first.
