I'm looking at these double din stereos with the 6.2' monitor screens, and I'm thinkin about getting one. But will a double din stereo fit in my 2002 Mustang GT. I mean the factory stereos seems to be a double din but it looks a bit smaller than the stereo I want to get.

 

I think it is a Din and a half (Double Dinface tapering to Din and a 1/2 rear)......I am not too sure on this but I would make it my final answer........My Lightning's stocker is like that

 

I havent seen it yet..most people(including myself) go with the pop out DVD. Just go to best Buy or Circuit City and ask them. they should be able to tell you.

 

Def get a popout style.theifs don't know the diff. when their peeking in your windows.

 

A double din will not fit (properly) in the 99-04 mustangs. +1 on the pop outs.

double din will fit perfectly in '01-'04's,seeing as how the stock decks are double din
looks a whole lot cleaner than the popouts. i seen a nice setup in an '04 cobra and it was factory looking.

 

Please let me know what kit he used for that cobra. Since I once managed the Road Shop at Circuit City, I never once came across a kit from Metra that was made for a double din on the 99-04 mustangs.
