Default sparkplug wires

This is ridiculous. I just changed my parkplugs and I have a lot more power now, its crazy.(they were the stock sprak plugs with 107,000 miles on them, with gaps up to .8). but my question is I need some new wires. how many mm do you guys recommend the wire to be? I was looking at the ford racing 9mm wires. do you guys think that probably pretty good? to big or to small?

Umm... I didn't know the wires on our distributorless systems needed to be changed. You could change the coils but that would run you upwards of 300 bucks.

I have them...they are very nice...pricy for th cobra, but worth the money...if you are running stockers with 107K, you will notice a big difference...they are tired!

96-98 GT had coil packs with sparkplug wires. 99+ have coil on plug ignition systems.

Yea just get some nice wires. i like the ford racing wires but there are a ton of brands. You could get some screaming demon live wires and there high output coil packs for a couple of hundred bucks and be set with you ignition for the time being.

I've got an 03 gt vert. Is it hard to take off the covers to get to the plugs? I've never changed plugs on an 8 cylinder yet. I'm used to the 4cyl setup where you can just pull the wire, and there's the plug.
