I was wondern if a throttle body spacer makes any difference in intake sound

I have 1999 GT...................I want to know how to make mycar sound louder when it shifts.

 

to make it louded get full exhaust. LT headers, o/r X-pipe, and a set of LM1's then your car will be louder during shift, but then it wouls just be loud all the time too.

 

ya i knew gettin an exhaust would be a difference but i want to here the engine more than the exhasut lol

Im probably gonna purchase some borla exhaust

 

LT's, o/r h or x, with a chambered muffler and you should sound good.

 

TB spacers are worthless, dont waste your money on one for sound...

 

when i switched to my 70mm tb and plenum, at about 1600rpm is sounds like a vaccum.. super bad ***. i doubt that the spacer would make more sound, but its worth a try if you can find one for around 20bucks i would pay much more than that.

 

ya wen i heard a brand new dodge srt-4 go by.....................i fell in love with the sound........the shift is freakin loud.................i know its a little tuner............but it kicks ***

 

Are you talking about the blow-off valve for the turbo on the neon? If so, you won't be able to get that sound without going with a turbocharger and bov yourself.

 

haha ya i think its what he means...otherwise i dont know what makes sounds like that when you shift

 

lol..... Wow..... I find that a annoyingly loud *Phhhhsssst* is just too much. With my Procharger, you really cant hear unless your going Wide Open Throttle and there is alot of boost built up in there.


Anyways, a throttle body..... I had one on my V6 mustang and it lasted for about a week before I got tired of it..... it made a whistle like a Centri blower would..... except much more high pitched.... Like someone was holding a very very high note while singing from a distance all the time.
