Default Catback upgrade.

So currently right now I have a mac o/r h and and mac catback system.I found a great deal on a slp lm catback system that I can not pass up. I have been looking to go louder with my exhaust lately since I have gotten used to the loudness of what I currently have right now.

I have a couple of questions about it.

1. How much louder will it be, to the point I might have to put cats? I have heard a couple of LM exhaust systems but with high flows and stock mid pipe. And well, the whole video clip really doesn't help out with the sound or loudness.

2. How much could I possibly get for my current catback? I have had it on for about 13-15k miles. Still in good condition.

Thanks.

Whether or not it'll be too loud will be up to you. Personally I think LM 1's sound like crap with any midpipe.

And I'd say about $100 for your catback. Unless it's the SS one, then maybe $250ish.

i would not get the LM1s with an O/R after hearing flow weld in 40s with a bbk O/R H the LM1s will be crazy loud i would get the LM2s if you are going SLP but if the cat back you are buying comes with LM1 you can find used LM2s for around $100

P.S. i think your new chin looks BA

He already got it, from what it sounds like to me.....

The question about loudness is redundant unless you can mentally distingush between say, 90 and 100 db. It'll be loud.

For your Mac catback I'd say ask $200. New they're what, $350ish?

With the LM1's and an O/R H, if you can keep it under 2500rpm'sthen it'll just be loud, but above that it pretty much sounds like a race car with dumps. It is stupid loud. But if that's what you want then I say go for it. And when you're soming to shift points it gets real high pitched and raspy. And when you're cruising on the highway the sound somewhat resembles a Harley. I myself am actually going to swap in someFlowmaster Supper 44'sfor the LM1's because I'm tired of how loud it is. There are some times on the street where I actually feel like going above 2500rpm's.

Yea I can vouch for that, I could hear you loud and clear on the highway and I was 5 cars behind you with my windows up.

Would you happen to have a video or audio clips of what yours sounds like?
