Default Best shock settings for the track

I have KYB AGX adjustables. I have run them at lowest settings for the drags and it seems to have helped me a good amount. Is there a point where it can be too soft for the drags? Should I have them hard up front and soft out back?

Default RE: Best shock settings for the track

John,

I have those Strange Engineering ones I was telling you about, and they are 10 ways...not sure hwo many settings the KYB has. They recommended that I start with the front ones on 3...and the back ones at 5(right in the middle). I think the fronts make more of a difference, allowing the front to rise quicker.

BY the end of the day I had the front ones on the softest setting as well as the back ones. With cars liek ours on street tires they dont make as big of a difference. Once you start coming down on the back settings if your car has the power and is able to hook, it will start to get wheel hop when its too soft so you adjust accordingly. And on the fronts if your car has the power and is able to plant it you dont want the front to be too bouncy so you need to find a happy medium. But even with mine on the softest settings my rear did not have any wheel hop and the front never gets high enough that bouncing is an issue.
