Default Winter Storage

I just recently put my car away for the winter, and took it off the insurence but just kept it on theft and fire. Right now it has a half a tank of gas, what exactally do I need to put in there to keep it fresh? Also is there anything else anyone would suggest I do to the car?

There is a company called "Stabil' or somthing like that, it lets you store your cars, boats, RVs over long periods of time. The thing is that I think you need to run it through the fuel system alittle to take full effect.Example: when you add it to your gas, you run the car for a few miles.

IfI wasent able to put gas tank stabilizer in there would it be bad to leave the gas in there for about 6-7 months?

bridgestone blizzaks FTW

seriously tho

fill the car up with fuel
change oil/filter
detail it fully
buy some foam pads to park on (NOT jackstands)
battery tender (not charger)

Seriously, go get it and fill it with gas. Then put some stabil in it. When was the last time you changed your oil?

I put my stock wheels back on when I put mine away last year and the tires were fine after sitting in one spot for 6 months. But if you only have one set, check tirerack.com for some pads.

-a full tank of gas. with some stabilizer
-disconnect batt.
-more then 6 months shot soem stuff in each injector place
-put carpet or sumthing under the car to keep moisture out
-maby roll onto styrofoam or lift on jacks to keep flat spots off tires
-change oil before storage and change it again when taking it out
