how to identify a 2004 saleen engine
You must not have read any of the post to see what this whole thread was about. He bought a Saleen engine and brakes and was asking for help identifying them

honestly i would tell you to forego the saleen, unless you just love them - that motor is weak for the investment - if your going to leave it stock then its fine, but other than that ....
also the body work is shody at best.. its amazing how crappy it is, when you look up close.. ive worked on both, driven both and even dont body kits from both companies and a roush is a better buy imo, saleen parts are hard to get and take a long time and a E is going to cost you.
Dont get me wrong - i like it, but if you ever have problems or get in a wreck... youll see what I mean about saleen parts and service.

If its supposed to be a forged saleen engine then just flip it over and pull the oil pan. If you see forged parts then guess what, who cares if its saleen or not you now got a forged supercharged engine for $2500.
