Default Off road h pipes

Got stock 97 cobra, only flowmasters and k&n filter. Looking to install off road h pipe. I know my engine light will probably come on, but will it hurt performance without a new tune

changing out midpipe shouldnt require a tune. it wouldnt be a bad idea to get a a/f check but 99.9% of us dont.

its not going to hurt performance.

No reason to get a a/f check on a n/a car with a minimal mod like that.

I believe if it throws the O2 sensor code it will hurt performance.

It doesnt hurt performance. But it may disrupt your air fuel mix and make you run lean but you wont even notice. Just get some MIL eliminators and the code dissapears.

I stand corrected. The rear O2 sensor code doesn't change a/f ratio therefore it doesn't hurt performance. You'll just have to look at the light unless you get eliminators or a tune.
