I used to get around 200 220 miles on a fill up, its a 1996 GT, But i filled up then noticed today i drove 55 miles i know thats a right amount of miles drove too, and its already to the half of tank line. Why is my gas millage so bad now ?

 

Fill back up and make sure that your gauge is reading correctly. Then start worrying about there being something wrong.

i had the samething a couple months ago i was only getting around 120 miles on a tank and it ended up being a vacume leak and once i fixed it my milage went back to normal

 

how much it coast to fix?

 

it was the rubber gasket that holds the filler tube into the tank and it was only 17 dollars

 

did that turn the CEL on? 99 GT VERT

 

yes but it came on about 2 to 3 weeks after my gas milage went down you will be able to tell if it has a leak the car will not run right if the gasket is cracked

 

i burned a whole tank in like 40miles in my car....it was the gasket ...$17 from ford

 

that evap leak will rob you blind
