well u all see my sig. im making 16 lbs of boost but im not even breaking 400 HP. a few ppl have told me that i should be making more. so does anyone know whats going on? i know i have a PI swap cause i did it myself. the only thing i can think of is the tune is messed up (which wouldnt surprise me cause its happened before) or my boost gauge is inaccurate. is there anything else that can cause this? maybe the dyno is totally wrong? im confused!

Weren't you confused about the mods you had when yo ubought the car?

If you were making 16lbs of boost your internals would be splattered all over the highway in such small fragments that it would look like a stripper dropped her pocketbook full of sparkles.

Post some pics of your engine.

At first glance, I thought maybe you had an automatic. But even then, your hp #'s should be higher at 16 lbs. of boost. Sounds like a very conservative tune.

edit: and yeah, 16 lbs. would more than likely destroy your bottom end!

your torque is high for that "mild tune" you MUST have if youre running 16lbs. usually it takes 10 lbs with some exhaust work to exceed 400.. at 16 man youd be mid-high 400's. tune it for 10 lbs and ask your tuner wtf he is doing.

My vehicle is similar to yours I do not have the pi swap howerver and have exhaust work done and I am at 9 ppunds of boost though I have never hit 9 pounds of boost on my gauge and I am at 300rwhp. List your mods. Not sure what mine would be at 16 lbs my tuner told me if I changed one pully size he thought I would make at least 330 and on the high end 350 and that would be nowhere near 16 lbs so yeah something is off on your car.

well i took it to a shop where they tore the engine apart to clean it and see what i needed replaced if anything (since its an old engine so basically i wanted an overhaul) and when they started disassembling it the guys working on it told me that i had manly pistons and rods and a cobra crank. so i was very happy. i did a PI swap on it. my mods are full exhaust, PI swap, forged bottom (hopefully cause if those guys were BSing me im gonna **** someone up), and the KB mongoose kit. could it be possible that its because of the twin screw? cause i know roots blowers dont make as much top end HP as centrifugals do. i have no clue! im gonna buy a new boost gauge and see if that tells me something different. if not...im gonna drive to wherever the hell i need to drive to get my tune done right.

hmmm I wonder if it's a timing issue, if your not running enough timing it could kill your performance. And for Jmonda I know this is going to sound bad but I hope your tune is alittle off as well. The only reason I say that is because Im looking into a vortec or pro/c and Im hoping for bigger numbers than that with only 8lbs of boost, and our cars are almost the same [&:]I don't see any reason why are engines should be any different from the 99-04 after the PI swap other than just having more compression. Our numbers should be just as high as the new edgeswith the same boost I guess thats something I'll have to research.

maybe they left something inside the intake, that would certainly increase boost and decrease flow, lol
