Default MAC vs BBK

Who makes better long tube headers MAC, BBK or does it even matter? Also what kinds of gains would you pick up with a MAC prochamber vs an H or X pipe?

Midpipe gains will be nearly identical, regardless of weither its a off road or catted, H/X or prochamber. There will be differences, but only big enough (on a bolton only car anyway) to tell on a dyno, aka your butt dyno won't know the difference. Pick your midpipe for the sound/muffler combo you like.

MAC and BBK both make decent headers, IMO the BBK are superior. I have heard of more than one person having fitment issues with MAC, but lots of people have installed them with no problems as well.

No matter what you do, get ceramic coated ones.

MAC FTW!
Plus I don't think you need to drop one of the sides of the headers to do tranny work.
They've really come a long way... I have them in my room waiting for install [8D]
I'll be going with a stainless Prochamber too.

I have BBK, but if I had to do it again, I would of saved a little more and bought Kooks full stainless, to each his own, but I have heard the old MACs had fitment issues and the new ones do not, IDK

Neither MAC nor BBK allow the transmission to be removed without dropping one side of the headers. Hooker and FlowTech are just 2 that I know will allow it. I went with FlowTech for this very reason.

Yes, very serious. I've had my trans out twice since installing the FlowTechs and it's no different that with the stock manifolds. Check this thread....http://forums.modulardepot.com/4-6l-...ge-normal.html

I went with the BBK and I am happy with them. I've never had to drop my tranny, so I can't comment on that issue.
