Default almost lost!

Since my KB install Ive been pretty careful driving with the new found power, so I havent raced much. Everything up to this point that I've ran into I pretty much didnt have a problem with....felt good smacking around an lt1 vette

but today....wow

i ran into a jaguar xkr hardtop that wanted to play....i was going about 70 when he pulled up next to me, looked at me and punched it (ricer-style).....i mashed the gas......pulled even with him by about 100...but it took me until about 115-120 before he was at my bumper.....at which point we both shut down.....

i got off my exit and drove into the gas station, he followed, and was actually a pretty cool guy. He told me the XKR was a 4.2L v-8 with an eaton blower on it. He had the blower ported, lower pulley swap and blower pulley swapped, a MacLaod (spelling?) x-pipe/exhaust and a CAI.

i know nothing about those cars/engines, so i dont know how well they respond to mods....but that car was pretty damn fast.

it was also cool to see someone who bought an $80,000 car and didnt want it to just look pretty.....you dont see a lot of people modding cars like that....at least i dont....

anyways, fun kill.....

Nice kill and yes, those cars are pretty quick. 390hp for the last gen and 420 for current production, plus if he added some goodies........sounds like you drove your *** off.

Ha ya i beat an 02 XKR with my stang before the engine mods with just full bolt ons. . . but it was just a stock 4.0 V-8 and was pretty gutless. So that wasnt much of a kill for me but congrats on sticking it to the Brits!
