Default had a slight mishap while installing the motor today

when we were trying to "jockey" the motor around to clear the long tubes it swug too far over and hit my FPSS that was mounted directly to the fuel solenoid and it messed them both up. I can't get the parts for a week because NX is out until wed. or thurs. at the SEMA show. As promised I should have dyno videos on tuesdsy but unfortunately it'll only be NA runs.

that's old news now and the least of my problems. Just when I thought it was bad... it got worse. Now I have a problem with my heads, I'll call Patriot tomorrow, I sure hope they stand behind their work! I don't want to get into details now but I'll keep ya'll posted of the turn out.

I know they use to have a problem with their guides but I heard they fixed that. I have heard that they will normally fix or pay for the fix if their **** is defective.

yeah that's the reason why I bought from them. Well here's what happened, I was putting in the spark plugs and while turning them by hand I felt something a little odd. As I turned it it felt kinda "gritty" as if there were sand in the thread which I knew couln't be because everything is new. So I back a plug back out and see that they helicoiled the heads and didn't properly insert them into the head, and now the insert is on the spark plug. Right about then I got pissed, because it seems like anything that could go wrong, has (for those who don't know, I've paid for this motor TWICE already). So I tried to get ahold of THR (but it's saturday and they were closed). I know that Lizzie said they were new heads and not remans like Summit, I just wanted to verify thatPatriot helicoils their new heads, because I couldn't figure out why new heads were "repaired". As of now I'm going to assume that they do it to all their heads. Well monday AM I call Patriot and talk to Gunnar, I explain my situation and he's baffled as to how the insert would just back out. I assured him that it did and I had pictures, along with a reciept showing that I purchased the heads new if he wanted to see them. He was very cool and said that they would cover the heads, but not the labor. Well my motor was about an hour from 1st start up and pulling the front cover, accessories, head, cam, and long tubeheader off, along with reinstalling and retiming the cams(on my dime) to send them the headto be fixed is not a good idea IMO. I ask him how he would suggest fixing the head. He suggested putting the insert back in with loctite, let it sit for 24hrs then use the tool (looks like a punch) get it to hold. OH DID I MENTION THAT 3 OF THE INSERTS CAME OUT.... BY HAND? So we did the loctite and I'll finish everything up tomorrow. Unfortunately I had my dyno tune scheduled for today and had to cancell and will have to reschedule it. I guess it was good thathe offered to fix the problem (which is more than most companies <like GMS> would do) it just pisses me off that I had the problem to begin with. I did ask him what kind of warrantee the heads had and he said 3mos., I told him that the reason why I bought his product was because even though a few years back they had a bad reputation they did stand behind their heads and helped their customers out. I then asked that if this fix didn't work or there were some other issues after 3mos would he cover it, he said that as he stood behind the problems in the past he would continue to do so and if I had a problem he'd take care of it.
