Default to seat delete or not?

when i go home for thanksgiving im thinking about doing a seat delete, the reasons is i am low enough as it is and with another person in the passenger seat i scrap so no one is gonna ride in the back anymore. I;m not sure hwo i want to do it yet, i think i want to put hinges on it so that i can store stuff underneath and be able to fold the back down so i can lay down long things if i need to....has anyone ever done it like that? and also if i take the seat belts out there are going to be holes where they came out of, does anyone have a remedy for that? i thnik i am jsut looking for somethign to do for reletively cheap. give me soem ideas and let me know your thoughts. oh ya im going to keep the top part(headrest) to keep it all finished off and looking good.

I am doing a seat delete as well....I'm going to just take the belts out and see how I like it and go from there. I kinda like the lift up idea but the kits are way to expensive and for something like this unfortunatelyI will prolly pay to get a "prof one". It would also be nice to have a hinge design with say maybe a sturdy velcro or magnetic strip of some sort ontop so you can easily open to put longer things in like you had been saying

Personally i find the rear seat deletes to be ugly and somewhat cheesy looking but go for it, maybe yours will look real nice.

I would go for it. I'm tired of having more than 2 people total in the car. Besides, it would make for a nice shelf or something where I can just put a small toolbox on, or maybe two 12s.[8D]

Do it if you want. I don't let anyone sit in the back seat anyway.

The back seats are just fo show, noone is really meant to sit in them. I cant even drive my car if someone tries to sit behind me........take em our. Build a lightweight custom toolbox............
