Default cobra headlights

my cars in the shop waiting to get new hood, and headlights after an accident. the headlights i had on my car are the smoked ones from american muscle. insurance will only pay for stock parts so i will have to come up with another $75-100 for those lights. my question is should i just get some stock 03/04 cobra headlights? aren't they smoked as well? and wouldn't they be of a better quality? im sure insurance would cover the cost on an OEM part. what do you guys think?

I think that 03-04 GT headlights also come stock smoked.

I'm 99% sure the Terminator headlights are identical to the 01+ GT/V6 headlights.

Mid 01+ are all "smoked" as you call it... They have black plastic on the inside instead of reflective plastic as the older headlights do. Doesn't matter what it came from, v6, GT, mach, or cobra... if it's mid 01 and up, it'll be "smoked."

Yup. The ones from AM might be a tad darker...I'm not sure.

LOL, unless insurance is going to pay for an HID upgrade, I'd just get some "Regular" replacement bulbs and not worry about it. I have wondered if those "Cool blue" or whatever they are, bulbs are any good, so maybe get those. Either way I wouldn't spend too long worrying about it

all of the 01 plus headlights are the same. they are smoked but not blacked out smoke like the am ones. they all have the yellow reflecter in them unlike the am ones.

If your not going HID I would get Silvania SilverStars. Thats what I have and I love them. Dont get the Silverstar Ultras though, Ive heard they are as good and dont put out as much light.
