Wow I changed my fuel filter last week and check my mpg and I am averaging 20 mpg. I use to get 17. I didnt think it would actually change that much considering it was done 20k ago. How often are you suposed to replace them. I tilted the old filter side ways and the fuel that came out was black I dont think thats good lol.

They are so cheap and easy to do, it actually wouldn't hurt to do it with each oil change.

It's easy to believe your MPG jumped a bit.

I change mine about 4x a year... whenever I go on Long trips or run out of gas.

Yes, I've ran my car out of gas twice actually. Once after I swaped the motor, I was getting about 14mpg (normal is 26mpg) and thought my gauge was broke and once after my GF drove it all day and dropped it off too me at work. I just hopped in and didn't even look down, got on the freeway and WTF??? I was pissed to say the least, lol. She gave me what I wanted later that night for compensation.

Nice . i change my filter pretty reguraly, with the nitrous kit one time leaning out could produce very bad results [:@].

Its right in front of your fuel tank...
I got motorcraft, but any brand from autozone or oreilly's will work.

There is a write up on here somewhere but the stupid search button is broke.

MF search FTL...

the fuel filter is in front of the gas tank, you'll need to buy the quick disconnect tool as well.
