What to do? Catted X with LM1's or O/R X with Flowmaster 40s?
I just want to get everyones opinion, so don't say pick what I like best.....Currently I have an O/R X with SLP LM1's and I don't care for the sound. My question is, should Iadd high flow cats and have a catted x-pipeor swap in Flowmasters in place of the LM1's and keep the O/R x-pipe? I currently have high-flow cats and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers in the garage. So what would you choose?
Why don't you care for the sound? If it is because it isn't loud enough, then go for the high flow cat swap. If you don't like the overall sound, swap to the Flows.
With the O/R x and LM1's it sounds terrible from around 1800-2300ish rpms. Sounds nothing like a Mustang, borderline ricer sounding. I'm just wondering what everyone thinks will sound the best, a catted x with LMs or an o/r x with Flows.

With the high flow cats, that terrible sound will only get louder. Do the muffler swap and put the Flows on, you won't be dissapointed.

I voted for flowmasters but thats only because I hate the sound of SLPs
why dont you just swap out the lm1 for lm2s? its cheaper than buying a whole new midpipe and it will sound WAY better with the o/r x

[sm=WTFsgign.gif] He has no cat, so how would adding cats make the car louder?

I don't want to have to buy anything else. I already have two high-flow cats (I'll take the high-flow cats off of my old catted h-pipe) and two Flowmaster 40 series mufflers sitting in my garage. I just want to use what I already have so I don't waste anymore of my money! lol

...u dont want to put chambers on an off road x pipe..it will sound iffy most of the time.
