go turn your 15 second car into a drag car [8D]

 

i tried tinting my tails about 5 months ago... i did about 5 light coats of VHT nightshade and than i used a clear coat... this is how they turned out





than, 2 months later they faded and they now look like this.. except i tinted the 3rd and the side reflects.



what could have caused them to fade like that?!??! i dont get it.. i tinted my 3rd break light and my side reflectors and i did NOT use clear coat and the VHT is still on there PERFECTLY. i dont get why the clear coat affected the tail lgihts?? could it ahve been the heat and the sun?? i dont want to do this to the next stang and the same sh*t happens again..

that looks good.... those are the blackout tint overlaysi assume?

 

yes, they are great. no probs even w/ going to the car wash and using the pressure washer.

 

breakinloose, your tail lights look veryyy nice.. exactly how i want mine. did you just put a strip of tape over the reverse light??

 

hmmm.. ur making my choice harder.... i was set on getting the overlays bc i tried the spray tint and it wore off.. it looked amazing but it wore off.. but it seems everyone is saying to spray it

 

you cant really see in my pic but I blacked out the middle brake light as well. It lights up MUSTANG, looks pretty tight at night. but I know thats not for everybody

Yeah I just taped it off and used a rubber flimsy ruler and an exacto knife to trim the straight lines and sprayed over it. And yes those are LED reverse bulbs (blue) that I ordered off ebay for like $12 to the previous question.
