waddaya think about this?
i know what lizzyfan would say but what about everyone else?
whats the highest rev limit i could go with this block, 7,000rpm?
MMR 4.6 Street Mod 900 (up to 900HP)
*Brand New Cast Iron 2004 Cobra Block, torque plate bored and honed *New 4340 Forged 3.543 stroke Cobra Crankshaft w/micro polished journals at no extra charge *New 4340 5.933 Manley H-beam Rods w/ARP rod bolts ( These US made rods are shotpeened, magnafluxed and weight matched to bring you the finest H-beam rod available for your 4.6 *New Forged Manley pistons 3.552 Bore size (High or low compression) *Speed Pro file fit rings (precision file fit to your application, nitrous, blower, turbo or N/A) *Speed Pro/Federal Mogul tri-metal Rod and Main bearings *Complete Pro Assembly and Balancing for the smoothest, highest revving shortblock available.
and a possible stage 1 or 2 port job done by MMR ...
with a 9.3:1 Compression Ratio for plans on vortech s/c next year.
i just have to call them tomorrow and ask if they have it ready to ship and if i can come pick it up on saturday :] yay for 1.5hr drive!!
i should be able to pass emissions still right? since i live in california...[&:]

Sure that block could spin up to 7000 no problem but when the valve floats at that rpm and the piston contacts it you'll be buying a new one. You have to upgrade the valvetrain too.
Why are you sticking with near stock compression if you plan to supercharge.

lizzyfan recommended 8.9:1 CR since thats what hes running i believe w/ his S/C Setup making 440rwhp .
You said you dont want 10.5:1 compression again, like its a bad thing. I know you want a lower one for the supercharger, but why didnt u like it N/A. Cuz thats what i'll have next week after my PI swap
well if i had a choice between a 10.5 and a low 9:1/ high 8:1 CR , i'd take the 9:1 since i can go with more boost :]
10.5:1 CR caused more wear on my internals even with a 91 Octane Tune... (only 60,xxx miles on car) and they are now shot reason why they're going out and im buying a new shortblock. just dont wanna risk it and have to buy a new shortblock again...
