I have an MGW, and I have felt cars with the Tri-ax, and they are both great shifters and are far better than stock. But i still prefer the MGW.

yeah... i have heard people living and dieing by mgw... then same way with steeda... gets me all confused... as long as the shifter doesnt mess up the tranny inany way that is the main thing to me...

The Steeda, Pro 50, and many other aftermarket shifters are nicely made (some more nicely made than others) refinements of thebasic stock shifter's design. The MGW unit is a wonderfully engineered and manufactured, complete redesign, of the shift mechanism--other thanit allows to you change gears it shares nothing with the monkey-motion OEM shifter...

OK...so I made my decision to get the Steeda Tri-Ax short throw....especially after one of the threads I read on here
but...
my one buddy keeps telling me its crap..etc
he's offering to sell me his B&M short throw for $100 since he's getting a new one off his buddy(it's almost brand new).

I'm in a dilema...I've driven his car and liked the feel of his...but I havn't heard anyone else's opinion on B&M.
The praise has been great for Steeda.

So.....B&M for $100....or...Steeda for about $130?!!

ps. his is an 04, mine's a 99...will it still work?
First of all, of course your buddy is going to tell you that it is crap... HE WANTS 100$ for his old shifter.
and if your buddys shifter is such a good shifter why is he wanting to sell it to you?? why wouldnt he just keep it?
Secondly, why would you pay 100$ for a used shifter that isnt that high end of a product... when you can pay 30$ more and get it brand new. Steeda Tri-ax FTW, I love it.
Btw, no.. his shifter wont work.
