well i have finally seen the light in realizing that GM is gay so im selling my trans am and iam buying a mach 1 are the mach's any slower then the LS1's. or are there any down sides to the mach over the LS1

 

I believe it's pretty much a drivers race between a Mach and LS1

Nice man. Welcome to the good side of the force. Yeah i'd say its a drivers race between a ws-6 ls-1 t/a and a Mach 1. . . Idk though.

 

Drivers race no matter how you cut it. From a roll, a dig, at the track, top end speed, it doesn't matter. I'm not bench racing here either. In fact. look at my avatar...look familiar?[8D]Seriously, I ditched my Ls1 because of the crappy drivtrain mainly, and I just like the way the Mach looks and feels better. No drawbacks with mine yet, other than typical crappy Ford fitment and interior rattles. You won't regret it....do it.

wait...doesnt this normally work the OTHER way around? lol, Im just kidding. I have been preaching for a long time that GM cars have the crappier interior fit and fitment. Uncomfortable, and ugly. The only complaint about their drive train would be the LS1 lifters and the weak 10 bolt out back. Anyway, like others have said, its a drivers race, and they both respond well to mod, so enjoy your new Mach 1

 

LS1's are faster than Mach's. If the LS1 is a barely decent driver he will beat the Mach 1. Even the '99 LS1's outrun Mach 1's.
