The new civics and accords are making upwords of 260 nowadays but the difference is they dont have the torque. Its like the RX-8 makes 260+ hp and is light as a feather. . . but then why isnt it fast? No torque. Everything comes down to torque in the world of racing

true that..the thing that makes me mad is they can rev there **** up to 4k n drop it n they launch like a bat out of hell because they have no torque lol.

To my knowledge, there is no such thing as an automatic Civic Si...

Yea, some imports can be nasty. I had a Intrega GSR with some work and I took a monte carlo with the 350 (Stock). yea it was beat up and old (Monte Carlo) but I beat it by one-two car lenths and the face on the two kids inside it were priceless. but I went back to the mustang for the forth time. The integra seem to be quicker then the civics. Ive always liked the 99 Si's cause they had the same motor to the GSR.

Depends on years guys, 01-06 is the b16a or 18c5, one or the other, but the new 08s are the k20. THe one I took was the 06 version. Its kinda a slug. The new 08s are preaty bad though. Buddy at work traded his 01 gt in for it. Says it seems faster. Dunno for sure though.
Theres a 99-00 civic si which is an EM1 which had a B16A3 in it, thats 160hp. Then theres the EP3 styles which were like 02-04 I think which had a weaker version of the RSX-S K20 in it with 160hp but a little more torque then the old si's, those were the ones that looked like little minivans. And the new Si that is out now is the same motor out of the RSX-S which was discontinued and its 197hp. You could never get a B18C5 in a honda civic thats strictly a USDM integra type-r engine. That motor wasnt offered in any other honda vehicles.

Yea I don't know why youguys hate hondas so much.It should make you madder when you get owned by a chipped f250 diesel with alift kit. Looked like he was running 37s or bigger mudders. Hands down though one of the coolest things I seen. Heres my buddyhammering through the gears in his stock03gt and the truck is staying right beside us the whole time. The cars tires were getting bald and traction was an issue butcommon mudders aren't meant for racing either. Pretty cool though, Just a huge plume of black smoke and that truck takes off man.
