I Screwed Up and Ran a Tank of 91 Octane Through...
With my 93 Octane tune. I got stuck using 91 octane because thats all the station had I went to and I was about out of gas. I had planned on putting in a bottle of booster but forgot. My CEL came on after about 150 miles and it wasn't till then I remembered what I had done.
Would this have triggered the CEL?

Putting 91 octane gas in a car that dosen`t need it is not going to hurt anything. I am not sure about Mustangs, but on some cars if you don`t put the gas cap back on properly, that will trigger the CEL to come on. Its an emission thing. Try taking the gas cap off & putting it back on again- that may work.

91 and 93 is not a big enough difference to do anything. You don't have a knock sensor so it's not that either. Swing by an auto parts store and hook it to a scanner.

99GT, I didn't hear any spark knock. But, I was in a cruise with 50 other loud Mustangs too...

but ppl in Cali run 93 tunes n run 91 so you should be fine its gotta be somethin else

I can use my Xcal II to check the codes right? LOL, I've never touched the thing, I had a pro tune the car.
