Default supercharging ?

Eventually I would like to supercharge my car. Would you spend the extra money for a procharger that comes with the intercooler, or spend less and get the base kit from vortech or paxton non cooled. Is there a big difference in intercooling VS non?

the procharger for the simple reason it's intercooled. you can run a more aggressive tune with an intercooler.

this question is always going to go both ways. can't go wrong either way. with the money you save buying a vortech just fab up an intercooler for the same price as the procharger, maybe a little less. both will be in the same hp/tq range. i personally did exactly what your talking about (bought a base sq trim kit, and just recently intercooled it and i couldnt be happier). good luck

i peronally wouldnt run a supercharger without an intercooler. it's just safer. and most people who get superchargers are looking to be in the 360-400rwhp range, and it's just not safe without an intercooler.

I would go with the paxton or vortech kit, paxton novi 2000 ftw, plus they are having a 250 cash back on all their kits. Use the saved money for a nice custom intercooler. Plus I've heard many nightmares about procharger kits and oiling issues. Oh and paxton now has the sl units that are self contained and do not require engine oil=P

Get the novi and never look back!

Prochargers used to blow out seals and leak oil but im pretty sure they got all of that fixed
