Whats it like to drive with 4.30's ?

 

Like a screaming jet at any rpm!

 

I see thatyou have an O/R x with LM1's....you really would sound like a screaming jet with 4.30's! lol

 

lol, yeah im getting 4.10's installed this friday , and i cant wait but now i am wondering if i am making a mistake getting 4.10s and if i will really be able to tell a difference with the 4.10s compared to 4.30's. I really want my car to feel like i got some more pull

 

nah 4.10s will be plenty. unless you have nice tires you are gonna spin.. 4.30s would only be worse.. I have 4.10s and I think if I had gone any higher it would have been too much.

 

Yea I definitely love my 4.10's. I would just stick with them...

4.30s ARENT THAT BAD! Anyone thats ever had them will no. I CAN NOT tell a difference between 4.30s and 4.10s. And actually its only a 200 rpm difference. But it does pull a lot harder than 4.10s under acceleration. I built my car to be an n/a killer. So i wanted to baddest gear i could get with still keeping good streetability. And i am still totally confident i made the right choice.

 

hey ben, can u even press the gas in 1st or 2nd tho. i want 4.30s but i dont want to go sideways every time i press the pedal. it would be nice to pull in every gear like crazy tho

 

No. . . .well see i have a built motor so im making a LOT more power and torque than just a bolt on guy. But i have to ease into first and then once i hit second i can give it some gas untill i get higher in my RPMs then i can rip into it. But all you need is 3rd and 4th anyways. Trust me. If i took off in 3rd gear and only shifted to 4th i could beat most bolt on GT's anyways. Its hard to explain becuase with stock gears 1st and 2nd seem so cruicial. But with 4.30s 1st and 2nd are just to get you moving and 3rd and 4th is where its at. Come by and ill take you for a ride and show you lol! But i guess once i get drag radials ill be able to full out use 2nd gear but i still dont think i'll be able to get on it in 1st.

 

I alwyas figured that I would get 3.73's but now I'm thinking of going to 4.10's. I want to drive someone's car who has 4.10's before I make my decision. Hey Brian, next time we meet up I'm going to get a feel for those 4.10's.
