A knock could be a very worn bearing, bent rod, broken piston.

A tick could be a worn bearing, timing chains, colapsed lash adjuster, worn cam follower, exhaust leak, loud injector and many other things.

Why do you have a tick?

94-95 were the last years the 5.0 was the V8 model, and 94-95 were the first years of the sn95 platform.
