$300 cam install, but you could probably do it you self.

I paid $500 for my cams and I installed them myself. Very simple, just get a book so you know the torque specs and sequence for the cam caps and valve covers.

I don't think I trust myself to do that I would find a way to mess it up

My total cost was around 1700+ tax. that was cams, valvesprings, cam sprokets, a new diablo chip (FTL)and a tune plus install. The cams were 550, the springs 200, no idea on the sprokets. The tune and chip were around 500-600, so that leaves around 400 for the labor, but it was all kind of mixed together.

if you are not mechanically inclined do not by any means attempt to do this install. it may not be hard but the negative effects if you manage to mess it up will be VERY costly.

honestly, im not that mechanically inclined,, and i'm staring my cams in teh face on my 99gt

though, taking the cams out, installing them along witht he guides and what not might bring up some new issues

i've been told that unless you want HUGE HP, cams arent worht the hassle.

save for a blower and a catback, and you'l be the happiest SOB on teh forums..lol
