Default tiressss

im getting fr500s today 17x9 in front and 17x10.5 in back

what tires and what size would you recommend??? 315s out back im sure and 275s up front???

tirerack only has 315x35s and 275x40s if that unbalance works...what exact tires would you recommend?

Its a daily driver with ocasional track use but im on a pretty tight budged....the fronts dont have to match the rears either

thanks
garrett

I'd say Nittos, check if Falken makes tired in that size.

EDIT: Also, for 10.5" I would go with 315's and for the front I would go with 255/265. 255's line up with the front fender real nice

I've been wondering about those Nitto 555s vs. Falkens. Glad somebody has had them both to compare so I don't waste money on the 555s.I've had the Falkens too, and was impressed with them. Especially for the price. With full suspension on my Z28, I was pulling a 1.75-1.85 60ft with them.

Unfortunately, as you go wider with a tire, you usually lose height. Makes it hard tokeep the front and back the same height when you go wider on the back. I would definetly go with 315s on those 10.5" rims. Sumitomo(however you spell it) have some pretty cheap Z-Rated tires.Don't expect alot of traction out of them or anything, but they'll look good until you can get some better ones.

Won't the 255/265 look a bit stretched on a 17 X 9 rim?

They say 275's are the perfact fit a 17 X 9 rim as are 315's are a prefact fit on a 17 X 10.5 rim.

I'd like to hear or others views on this as well as pics as I'm still deciding on my tires.
