I let one of my friends drive my car at the last autocross event,he is a SCCA CP class champ and can drive the wheels off anything. I wanted him to drive it to see what he thought about my car and what I needed to change to make it faster.He asked me if I wanted to ride along,I did not plan on it cause I wanted to watch my car on the track to see how it handled.But I went along with him anyway.Man I did not know my car could go that fast.He ran 10sec. faster then I did in my own car.
When we got done he said I would not change anything your car is fast as hell.
I told him ya I know I'm still pulling my a$$ out of the back seat.LOL

 

Only my dad has driven my car, I offered my 15 year old brother to drive it, but he turned it dow.

 

Yeah i never knew my car was fast until i rode bitch. But i was also so nervious that i didnt enjoy it. Letting my little brother drive ftl!

 

non of my friends drive is stick its great no1 asks to drive the car...
my dad doesnt drive fast, but when my older brother drives i go crazy, and when i tell him stop killing the car he is like dont worry this car can take it, it was built for this sh*t....
but i trust him hes been drivin for a while and had many mustangs when he was youngerdont wanna talk about what happened to all of them lol...

 

yeh ive ridden passenger in my car a couple times, but i have a couple friends that have mustangs as well so its not much of a change to me

 

i let my friend drive it one time and he went 85 in a 35 rught past a cop. i almost sh!* myself. he didnt stop and kept running. we were on a busy roan at night and he turned off a side street when the cop was pretty far behind us. we waited about 10 mins before going back on the road and when we did, that same cop had another mustang (a V-6) pulled over. that was the first/last time someone besides me or me girlfriend drove it.

 

i tried to teach myg-f how to drive the stick i thought it would be hot until she almost ran into a light pole she didn't get to touch the keys much after that.

The reason why your car feels faster is because your not driving it. Youre not ready for what the drivers is going to do and you dont what when to brace yourself... I felt the same way!

 

Lol i just like slam my foot down tryin to hit a brake even tho im not driving.

I think it feels faster because we arent bracing ourselves for the surge. Even if we let ourselves like relax when we floor it, no matter what, we konw its coming, when we ride along we cant predict that.
