gears will not be something u can do. i suggest getting em with that cash tho. gears can be put in for 500$ you just gotta look around you will find someone who can do it.

i paid 235$ for my gears and the full install kiton americanmuscle. i was asking a couple shops around here how much they would charge me for gear install and they wanted (no joke) 500$ in labor charges. i ended up talking to a guy in a mustang club here and referred me to the guy who did his and hes charging me 200$ getting them installed this saturday actually ()...so thats 435$ total for 390's put in my car.

500$, 600$ absolute tops is all you should spend on a gear install everything included. 250 for parts and 250 is a reasonable amount to pay for labor, some places may charge a little more but your getting ripped if they told you 500$ in labor. dont jump on the first place that offers you a decent price either though, make sure they are credible. find a mustang club in your area (alot of places have clubs near by), go to the track and find some guys with mustangs, ask around and youll find a reputable guy/shop that wont charge u an arm and a leg.
I'd say $500-600 sounds pretty reasonable for me. I used to go to a guy who worked on my LT1 (used to have a Z), he usually didn't have the best prices but it was definitely quality work. So if I could find both that would be great!

I know of some clubs up here in Colorado where I'm at...yet it is winter and its pretty snowy here You don't happen to know anyone from CO do ya? lol

Just depends if you can get good deals on installation. Drop you could do your self. Gears is the tuff one.
I know I need to drop it. My first day on the forum someone asked me if my car came with 4wd lol funny guys but whats on the car is exactly how I bought it...except for the wheels. What would you recommend for a drop?
