Headers

Ok the lats thing for my exhaust is some shorty or longtube headers. Now im only going to get them if its possible to do yourself. So is it difficult to do? What are some hints?

if u can turn a socket wrench you can change headers.... but its not fun. and unless u live in cali, get long tubes

good deal. I definetally dont mind doing the work. Now unfortunately i do live in cali so.... Lame. But if i go with the longtubes will i still be able to just swap out my catted H when i have to smog it? Becaus i would prefer the longtube

go with the long tubes. but arnt they illegal in cali? so wouldnt u not pass inspection even if u did put a catted pipe back on? and if u get long tubes ur going to have to get a shorty mid pipe

Ah lame!!!! Well my exhaust already wont pass smog because i dont have any cats. O/R X. So Either way. So are longtubes just better than shorties? Or is there some kind of performance difference?

LT's are deff worth it, i picked up 20 rwhp from them. I dynoed 226 before then, after lt's (on the same dyno I dynoed 247 with similar weather conditions.

yea shorties suck. youll gain more power from long tubes.

if u live in cali, just get shorties.. you DONT want to have to swap your lts for manifolds every yr. better to swap out a midpipe than headers

This is true lt's remove the precats which is frowned upon by the govt. in places like Cali and even NC (where i am) but no-one seems to care here which keeps me happy
