Default 2008 Timeslip thread!

Well first of all, I would like to personally thank Goldeneagle_10 for puttingthe 2007 listtogether for us. I really enjoyed the friendly competition! As the year comes to an end, I looked back at the 07 timeslip thread. All in all, the 4.6 guys did great in the overall comparisions.

Out of the 2v guys, 3 out of the 4 top ET's (looking at 1/8 mile b/c I didn't make a 1/4 pass) were N20 stangs. As you guys know, the #1 spot is up for grabs since the bucket left the boards. I think there should be bragging rights for the fastest stock s/b S/C car, built S/C, stock longblock bolt-on, all out N/A, and built N20, stock s/bN20 etc......

SOOOOOO, WHO'S GONNA STEP UP AND TAKE THAT #1????

01GT4.6 just got his new set-up going, and it's a beast,so you know he's gonna be tough to beat.

JayC and his "little stock longblock that could" is always in contention.

IfBen would come down off the mountain and man upwith a set of slicks, he could def be there.

There are way too many badass S/C guys to list, some of who I know are going to be fast b/c they laid down smoking ETs last year, and some who I know are going to prove to be fast with more seat time with their set-up's(I'm counting on 2000GT4.6 in particular ).

And I've got a trick or two up my sleeve as well. It's gonna be fun guys! Let the **** talk begin!!!!!

I'll post mine up once I hit the track, 11.8 on a cracked intake manifold, now that its fixed and I upped the boost, I should be able to nail down some quicker times.

2008 season already?

You dammed lucky southern guys. KCIR MIGHT open up mid march.

ZW, once the 31s go in you need to host a "trip to the strip" weekend down there. Something along the lines of some racing, maybe with a BBQ and some beer afterwards....

I'm within driving (realistic) distance....

BTW, the N20 guys might be out of my range (with the dammed low 60' times and built motors) but the FI guys better look out... once the new 8.8 is under there I'm leaving at 5000+ RPM on the Mickey Ts... say hello sub 1.7s.

I wish all the competitors good luck. But, remember...Chad (new owner of the Bucket) is shooting for 9's this year. I think the N2O class has some real heavy hitters. ZW, 01GT and JayC will be letting it all hang out. In the S/C class, 2000GT will be stepping it up, but c'mon 5K launches? Get 'er together and launch that biatch at 6K. Let's not forget that mylongvictor will have his car back and definitely has the set up to lay down some good #'s.

As for me, ya'll won't be able to drag me away from my beloved 4.6 section. Even though I am in the pushrod world, I still have such fond memories of the Mod. motor world. I will be getting some seat time in the new hot rod and laying down some mid 9 second runs. I have decided to stay N/A for awhile and when I go back to the N20 world, it will be atleast a 500 shot.
