I was just wonderin when, on average the stock clutch goes out. I have a 98 GT with a stock clutch... I believe the clutch is still the same one from the factory. I have 73000 miles on my car.Should I be savin for a clutch? Thanks in advance.

Once every time you let a girl drive it!

Seriously mine went out the next week after teaching and letting my girl drive it! lol I'm sure it was unrelated but I'd imagine it depends on driving habbits. Most young people go through clutches fairly quick. I know Mustang owners that go through clutches every year. I have changed mine once in two years and am thinking about going to a spec staged clutch.

I have been told and experienced, 75000 miles. Thats what I have, and thats what I am doing. A clutch is not THAT expensive though, but I would save for one, or just upgrade

I was thinkin FRPP... thats not bad at all, but I am going to get a clutch quadrant as well so I am lookin at spending around 400. Thankfully I have a cousin that works at a shop so I wont be spending an additional 400 on installation. Thanks for the help.

I just bought the 10 spline 11" 03 cobra clutch, came with a stupid 8 bolt flywheel too plus TOB pilot bearing rear main, all that good stuff for about 350

Where did you pick all that stuff up. The 03 cobra clutch wont fit my car but that sounds like a good price.

I was lookin at this kit... http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

I would have to pick up an alignment tool, but what do you think about this kit.

how much power do you plan on making? For the next few years my limits are within the limits of the stock shortblock, so the 03 cobra or king cobra in your case, would do. If I could not of done the 03 cobra, I would of done the king cobra.

I got this from my local speedshop, its a 96-01 clutch upgrade, thats why it came with a friggin 8 bolt flywheel. But my speedshop got it from the dealer for CHEAP
