I'm doing gears tomorrow and just wondering what gains all of you with gears are getting? Remember that I am going from 2.73s to 4.10s so i'm taking quite the leap. The track doesn't open here till May so I won't be able to test it so I'm counting on you guys. Thanks

I have had a problem with my car lately and have corrected that and it is starting to feel strong like it should making 2nd gear worthless in the rain and I have to be careful with third or sidewayz I go.and now it is going to feel even stronger, I can't wait!!!!

 

you are really going to like the 4.10's... traction might become an issue

 

I know. I should expect at least a .5 of my time right? I have heard of people cutting almost a full second off their time. Post you gains or I guess you can call it losses

 

2.73s??? I thought 3.27s were the lowest??

 

2.73's were in 94-98 GT's. And they're the highest stock gears. 4.10's are lower than 2.73's. With gears the bigger the number the lower the gear.

 

with my old auto GT i went from 9.4 9.5 in the 1/8th to 8.8 with 4.10's and an X pipe

You might want to get some duct tape and tape your hands to the wheel cause you won't be able to hold on[8D]
And make shore your seat is in the upright position and locked in place cause its going to set you back in to your seat pretty hard.[8D]

He must have an auto. The auto's have 2.73's and the 5sp have 3.27's.
