Default Nitrous Nylon

Hey nitrous guys:

What do you guys think of running a nylon nitrous feed line. I know I have heard of people running them because of how cheap they were, but what are the disadvantages?? Should I just stick the norm and use braided steel?? Also I want to hide my nitrous lines, I have a CAI would it be ok to spray the nitrous/fuel into the intake tube near my filter (bottom of fender well) or would that be too far away from the engine?? Thanks guys

run the steel baided line, I doubt a nylon line would hold up to the pressure. You want to spray about 6 inches before the throttle body.

+1

I wouldn't trust the nylon to hold up to the pressure. You have to remember the nitrous is leaving the bottle at around 900 psi.

Nylon as a material would hold up fine in a perfect environment. The problem is that a car is not a perfect environment. It's usually very hot or cold and very dry or humidand over time that will weaken the nylon. Stick to braided. I work in the plastics industry.
