GT upgrades
I own a 2004 GT 4.6L automatic. Is it possible to have a supercharger installed and if so what type would work best and what additional mods need to be done to the car...money is not really an issue. Any advice from anyone would be great.
Yes, you can supercharge your car. If you are not planning on building the motor up, you have a wide variety of kits to choose from and you should keep it at or under 10 psi (stay around 400 rwhp with the stock block) with a good tune. Any intake and exhaust mods are going to help, but go ahead and do the supercharger first, then add stuff later. You'll be happier that way. If money is absolutely no issue, build yourself a shortblock up, put some high flowing (for a 2v anyway) heads on there, custom grind cams, and you'll be in business. Then you could push quite a bit more than 10 psi and still be safe (provided you have a good tune).
Use the search on the forum and you'll likely find something on point though. If there is anything else to add I'm sure someone will chime in.
Happy modding.

You'll definately want to firm up those shifts and change the pattern around alittle with a supercharger. If money is no option, than I would highly reccomend an intercooler set-up as it runs your engine and s/c'er cooler and much more efficient. They will last longer as well. 6psi of interccoled boost will run all over a 10psi without intercooler.
