Default 96 cobra transmission

couldn't find this anywhere, maybe didn't look hard enough but, do you guys think a 96 supercharged cobra would need a transmission upgrade or anything kind of drivetrain upgrade so i don't break something?

Well that kinda depends on what you want to do. A 96 cobra uses a T-45, which isn't exactly known for it's strength. You could just use it till it breaks, or you could be proactive and replace it now.

IMO, I would have some money set aside for a new tranny. When I would have enough, I'd go ahead and shred the stock T45.

You may want to look into a stronger rear end. Think 31 spline axles and a new differential. And I also doubt the stock clutch will hold up that power, so that will probably need to be replaced with a stronger unit.
