Default Differences in cat-backs...?

What are the differences between a catback for a 96-98 and a 99-04...are the hangars different or what? The reason I'm asking is I found an SLP LM1 catback really cheap and it's for a 99. Will this work, or is it gonna be a big job getting it to work?

well i'd like to eventually switch out to an H...i've just gotten worn out with the flows and the x...just looking for something different. And I've hit up youtube and seen a bunch of videos of slp exhaust and i reallly like how throaty is sounds. I just want to know if a 99-04 catback will work on my 98

I thought that '98's have unique exhaust hangers. It may be a straight swap. Someone with a '98 needs to chime in.

i know its not a 96-98, but my friend has a 95gt and his hangers are different then a 99-04. i would assume that a 95 and a 96-98 are the same(catback wise).

i know of some catbacks are sold 94-97, 98, and 99-04... so there must be something different about the 98s

I've seen that too....but I have some (limited) skills with welding and fabrication, so i guess i could make it work if it were only the hangers that are different. Has anybody else done this?
