how hard are they to install if i would do them by my self or how much would i cost on avearage to have them installed

are stainless steel worth the extra or are the ceramic coated just as good

if you can affored it buy stainless steal. on the header install; if you have access to a lift, i think its not to bad, but if you plan on doing it in your garage on jack stands, its a bitch.

o-yeah be prepared to drop the k member. I have never done the install, this is just some things i have read.

Well said, you dont have to drop the k member. I didnt do it when i installed mine but if I do them again I will definitely drop it. As far as stainless goes if you can afford it get them, if not ceramic coated would be fine.

I would definatley take it to get it installed unless you have a lift and something to hold the engine up after dropping the k member. Im getting my longtubes installed right now. But if u do have the money then go stainless if not ceramic coats just as good. But it will run you around average 450-500. Do you have an automatic?

i just figure if i can get away with ceramic i can use the extra money on other stuff

i do not have acces to a lift but my uncle a this pit in his barn that we pull cars over to work on them which i think may work just as well as a lift

when i did them on my GT we didnt drop the kmember, we did jack the motor off its mount a little, and that job was a complete bitch. we even had a full lift with the car 6 ft in the air at some points. the 4.6 header job is not fun

Yeah it does make a difference. I believe there are only two well known companies that make long tubes for our autos. The long tubes I got on mine are MAC. and the other ones I know are SLP. But the SLP ones are expensive. Pacesetter and Hooker heads might but im not sure. But only some places make longtubes for our autos. Oh and when you buy the Longtubes make sure you get the matching midpipe that comes with the LTs cause the fitingof another midpipe could be a bitch. And yeah 450-500 just for install.
