Sounds like it, but alot depends on the area you live in, and whether or not you have a tuner. If you just have a chip and not the handheld tuner, they might charge more. I originally had a predator chip, but switched to a SCT flip chip and had three tunes burned to it, with two different types of gas (E85 and 91 octane) and that only cost me $480. I think most tuners (as far as I know) will charge about 100-150/hr of tuning, but that might change with the area that you are in.

There was actually a shop that wanted me to pay $1000 for a tune, and that was with only one tune, not seperate ones, so it depends on the shop as well.

seems reasonable to me. where i live, there are only 2 shops that can dyno tune my car (there's a third shop but they told me they only tune LS1 cars), and i'm probably gonna end up paying around $700-$800 for a tune after i get my s/c on. the nearest shop outside of town is 2 1/2 hours away, and they'll do it cheaper, but i don't want to drive my car 2 1/2 hours on a possibly unsafe tune.

I'll do you one better, there aren't any shops in tucson (town I live in) that will tune my car at all (nobody hasa dyno) so I had to trailer my car to phoenix (2 hours away) to get tuned
