Hello folks, I just wanted some opinions on what I should do to my 'Stang next. Just so you know it's an '02 GT 'Stang with just over 100K miles. Tranny is a stock 5 speed.

Mods are a K&N CAI, Hypertech Programmer, BBKUnderdrives, BBK 75mm TB, Professional Plenum, FRPP 3.73s, BBK Catted X-Pipe, SLP Loudmouth Catback, MSD Coil Packs, and (on order) BBK Shorty Headers.

My only problem with doing heads/cams/intake is that the car is my daily driver and also all I have, so if it's down for any amount of time, I'm walkin, unless I go home and steal my dad's truck. I also plan on buying a DSS shortblock sometime in the near future, so why not just wait and put the Heads/Cam/Intake on then?

I wouldn't mind doing a Supercharger, but I don't know if my 100k mile 4.6 will take it. Actually, I'm sure it would be ok for a while, but how long, especially under my heavy right foot? I'd rather get a built shortblock with forged internals that I KNOW will hold up.

Also, if I do go with a supercharger, I'd probably go with a ProCharger. Five grand would go a long way towards either a new 'Stang or a Mazdaspeed 3, which I'm also considering (I would keep my current 'Stang either way).

So, thoughts people?

 

How about some upper/lower control arms? 1-piece driveshaft? that will shed some pounds off your car.

Yes, suspension is good too. If I were you, I'd go with the procharger, and start saving for the shortblock right away. Run with the procharger till the stock block blows, then replace.
